How does The French Confection Price Their Cakes?
All wedding cakes at The French Confection are ONE flat price per slice. This price includes: set-up, delivery, virtually any design, sugar flowers to match bride's flowers, sugar bows, sugar swags or drapes, fresh flower arranging on the cake, different flavors on different tiers, any fillings, columns, lights, fabric, any changes you need, etc.... THERE ARE NO ADDED OR HIDDEN CHARGES.

What is so great about the One Flat Price?
This One Flat Price that we offer at The French Confection allows you the freedom to be YOU without being "nickeled and dimed" to death. Most other cake vendors generally charge extra for every piece of decoration on your cake...ie: flavors other than white or chocolate, any designs, any fillings, sugar flowers to match yours, columns etc..... you get the idea. Then the bakery will add additional expense in the form of delivery charges and cake set-up charges.
Also, at other cake vendors you can not make changes to your cake without affecting the price because your price is based upon that exact number of servings, flowers, decorations...etc...
Our FLAT PRICE allows you all the freedom you need to express your indiviuality without being charged additional cost to bring your ideas to life. Plus, you can make changes at any time because at The French Confection your cake cost is based solely on the amount of people you would like to serve - not each flower.
Do I need to set up an appointment?
YES. We meet by appointment only - but we are very flexible. Just call and we'll find a time that is convenient for you to come in. At this first meeting we will have some cake available for you to taste and we'll design your one of a kind cake.
What if I can not make my appointment?
Please call and let us know. Remember your appointment time is specifically for you - if you can not make the appointment, you have shut someone else out of a chance to meet with us at your time. We do not double book.
Is there a charge for the Cake Tasting Appointment?
There is no charge for you to come in and meet with us. It is very important that the people who are making the decision to purchase the cake come to this meeting. There is a lot of information that is discussed at this time.
How long will the appointment last?
You should budget about one hour to one hour and a half. Again, a lot of questions will come up and we want to make sure we have enough time to answer everything you need.
What do I need to bring with me to the meeting?
You will need to bring anything upon which the design of your cake will be based - fabric colors, flower choices, picture of wedding dress, any cakes you have seen in magazines that you like etc....
Can I Make Changes to my cake?
YES. You may make changes at any time up to the Monday before your event. You may increase or decrease your servings, change your flavors or colors, add new ideas to your existing cake design or completely start over from scratch with a new design. The most important thing is that your cake reflects you and your event.
What if my head count changes?
If your number of servings should change after you have paid your retainer to hold the day, the change in amounts is either added to or deducted from the second and final payment.
Can I call and ask questions?
YES. Please feel free to call with your questions. Again, the most important thing is that we stay "on the same page" . Any questions you have can clear up any miscommunications. There are no dumb questions.
What if my cake is part of a package?
If your wedding cake is included in a hotel wedding package, the cost of your wedding cake is invoiced to your facility. You can have any design you choose and flavor you choose - that doesn't change. The only change for you is direction of billing.
