THE PEOPLE: The French Confection is a small family business-Father-Bob,Mother-Dianne and Daughter -Stacy. Each person brings their own unique talents to this business. Bob has been an award winning salesman/businessman his entire life, Dianne's stregnths come from her general interest and instruction in cake decorating and Stacy is an artist who simply moved from one art genre to another.

THE STORY:
Our cake business began in our kitchen about five years ago. Within a year we were the officical wedding cake designers for David's Bridal. At this point we decided we couldn't run this business out of our home any longer, so we rented a "Beefy's" in Madison, Tennessee and met with our brides at our office in downtown Nashville.
In 2001 we moved into an 1800 sq foot space at the Incubation Center for small businesses at 315 Tenth Avenue, North and our business grew accordingly. We doubled our wedding cakes the first year and continued to grow. It was almost like "if you build it they will come."
We outgrew our space and moved to our present location in January of 2004 with our bakery comprising just under 5000 square feet with room to grow.
THE VIEW:
Being a small business, it is truly our pleasure to make people happy. We treat every bride like we would want to be treated - each wedding cake as if it were our own.
Designing the cake should be fun. That is why we enjoy taking the time to design each cake, get to know each family and answer every question to make sure the bride is getting exactly what she wants from her cake.
OUR SUCCESS:
Thanks to our wonderful brides, we now do well over 150 weddings a year and have assembled a wonderful team of artists and bakers that work together to create these wonderful cakes you see.
We have created cakes for NFL Football Players, Country Music and Grand Old Opry Stars, Professional Golfers, State Senators, Government Officials and you the wonderful every day bride.
